TermMeaningSee
3-D SecureConfirming an online card payment in the app: a screen with the payment details opens. You have 5 minutes to respond; without an answer, the payment is declined.2.10
AddressA string of characters that crypto is sent to. Each network has its own address format; the app shows the address as text and as a QR code.3.9
Address formatBitcoin: the type of address — Legacy (BIP 44), SegWit (BIP 49), Native SegWit (BIP 84) or Taproot (BIP 86). Any format can receive BTC from any other. Each format you turn on is a separate row with its own balance; a new wallet uses BIP84.4.4
Android KeystoreAndroid's secure storage, where Cryptolink keeps the wallet keys. It works only while a screen lock is on; after you change the screen lock method, the keys may become invalid and the Android Keystore Error window appears.0.3
Backup to a fileA wallet backup in a file encrypted with your password (Local Backup). You keep the file yourself; without the password it can't be opened.3.4, 3.5
Bandwidth, EnergyTRON network resources a transfer consumes: Bandwidth depends on the transaction size, Energy on the amount of computation (token transfers such as USDT TRC-20 use it). Shown on the Confirm screen.4.4
Base CurrencyThe fiat currency for crypto balances and prices; USD by default. It doesn't affect cards: card balances and transactions are in the card currency.5.2
Base Fee, Max Fee Rate, Max Priority FeeEVM networks: the current base price of gas on the network, the most you're willing to pay per unit of gas, and the tip to validators.4.2
BEP-20, ERC-20, TRC-20Token standards on BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum and TRON. The same token on different networks is a separate row with its own balance and history.3.2, 3.9
BiometricsUnlocking Cryptolink with Face ID or Touch IDyour fingerprint or face (depending on your phone) — the Biometrics switch. It works only together with the app passcode.1.5
Birthday HeightZcash: the block when the wallet was created; syncing of an existing wallet starts from it. If you enter it, the first sync is faster.3.5
Blockchain explorerA public website that shows transactions and addresses, for example Etherscan or Tronscan. Opened from the transaction details.4.7
BSC-USDThe name of USDT on BNB Smart Chain in the coin list (tag BEP-20, full name Binance Bridged USDT (BNB Smart Chain)). To receive or send USDT on this network, choose BSC-USD.3.2, 3.9
CardA Cryptolink payment card with a balance in USD, topped up with crypto. You order and manage it on the CardsCard tab.2.1
Card accountYour Cryptolink account, with an email and password or through Apple or GoogleGoogle. You need it to order and manage cards; after you sign in, the Crypto tab appears.1.2, 1.3
Coin ManagerThe screen where coins and tokens are turned on or off in the wallet and where you add a token by its contract address. Opened with the icon above the coin list on the Crypto tab.3.8
ContactAn entry in the ContactsMy Contacts address book: a name and addresses on different networks. You can pick a contact when sending. Contacts aren't part of the wallet backup.4.8
Contract AddressThe address that identifies a token on its network. You can use it to find or add a token in the Coin Manager.3.8
CVVA three-digit security code for paying online. Together with the expiry date, it's on the back of the card in the app.2.4
Deposit addressA one-time address you send stablecoins to when paying for or topping up a card. It works while the timer runs; send only the stated token on the stated network.2.3
Double SpendBitcoin: two transactions try to spend the same coins, and the network accepts only one. The transaction details show Double Spend Risk!.4.4
ENSA domain name that you can enter instead of the recipient's address on EVM networks and Bitcoin; the app finds the address by it.4.1
EVM, EVM networksEthereum and compatible networks: BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism and others. Their fees are counted in gas, and a stuck transfer can be sped up or cancelled (except on Optimism and Arbitrum One).4.2, 4.5
Fee RateBitcoin: how many satoshis are paid per byte of the transaction. The app suggests a recommended rate for timely confirmation.4.2
FreezeTemporarily locking a card with the Freeze button; undone with Unfreeze. While the card is frozen, payments, top-ups and card details are unavailable.2.5
Gas, Gas LimitEVM networks: gas is the unit of work a transaction performs; Gas Limit is the most gas a transfer may use, and the app calculates it. On networks without EIP-1559, the gas price is set in a single Gas Price (Gwei) field.4.2
ID (transaction hash)The unique identifier of a transaction on the blockchain. Tap it in the transaction details to copy it, for example for support or the recipient.4.7
iOS KeychainiOS secure storage, where Cryptolink keeps the wallet keys. If the iPhone passcode is turned off or changed, the keys become invalid and the iOS Keychain Error window appears.0.3
iPhone passcodeThe code that unlocks the iPhone. Without it Cryptolink can't be used.0.3
Inactive TRON address, activation feeA new TRON address that hasn't received TRX or TRC-10 tokens yet. The first such transfer activates the address, and the network charges the sender a one-time activation fee.4.4
JailbreakRemoving the iPhone's built-in restrictions. On such a phone the app can't guarantee the safety of your crypto, and it shows a warning.0.3
KYC, Identity verificationVerification with a document and a selfie required for some cards.2.3
Locked bitcoins (TimeLock)Bitcoins the sender locked until a certain date: they're already yours, but you can't spend them before that date. The coin page shows a Locked row.4.4
Manual backupThe recovery phrase written down by you on paper and confirmed in the app (Manual Backup). Available only for wallets with a recovery phrase.3.4
MCCThe merchant category code in card transaction details; shown if the server sent it.2.9
MemoExtra text or number some networks and exchanges require to credit a transfer. The field appears when sending on TON (comment), BNB Beacon Chain and Zcash (to a shielded address), up to 120 characters.4.1
Monthly fee, debtThe account fee accrues every month but isn't charged separately: the unpaid amount builds up as debt and is deducted from the next card top-up.2.6
Network, blockchainThe blockchain a coin is sent on: Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, TRON, Bitcoin and others. The sender and the recipient must use the same network, otherwise funds may be lost.3.9
Network feePaid to the blockchain, not to Cryptolink, for processing a transfer. The app suggests it; with a lower fee, a transfer may get stuck for a long time.4.2
NonceThe sequence number of an account's transaction on an EVM network. A new transaction with the same nonce replaces a pending one — this is how speeding up and cancelling work.4.5
Passcode (app)The app's own 6-digit code, separate from the iPhone passcodephone's screen lock. It's requested at launch and after auto-lock; it can't be reset in the app.1.5
PassphraseAn optional extra password for the recovery phrase. The wallet must be restored with it: a different passphrase opens a different, empty wallet. A lost passphrase can't be recovered.3.3
Phone number bindingLinking a phone number to your card account; required for some cards. You can bind a number once and change it only through support.2.2

Public key, xpubA key for viewing funds without being able to spend them: an EVM address or the account extended public key (xpub). An xpub can be added as a watch-only wallet.3.7, 3.6
Recovery phrase12, 15, 18, 21 or 24 words that restore the wallet on any device. Whoever has the phrase controls the funds: keep it offline and never share it.3.4
Referral IDYour invitation code in the referral program. A friend enters it when creating an account, and you get part of the fees from their card orders and top-ups.5.6
Root accessSuperuser rights on the phone. On such a phone Cryptolink can't protect your crypto from malware, and it shows a warning once.0.3
Screen lockThe phone's PIN, pattern or password. Without it Cryptolink doesn't open, and if you turn it off, the wallets on the phone are deleted.0.3
Security VerificationIdentity verification (page)The Account › Account › Security VerificationIdentity verification page: what you need to complete before ordering a card — email and phone.2.1
Speed Up, CancelReplacing a pending transfer on an EVM network: the same transfer with a higher fee, or a zero transfer to yourself — with the same nonce. The network executes only one of the two transactions.4.5
StablecoinA token whose value is pegged to the US dollar, for example USDT. Cards are paid for and topped up with stablecoins.2.3, 2.6
Suspicious transactionA transfer meant to make you copy an address from your history: for example, a tiny amount from an address that looks like yours. Such transfers can be hidden from the history, and a transaction marked as suspicious shows a warning in its details.4.6, 4.7
SyncThe wallet catching up with the blockchain to show the balance and history; meanwhile the coin shows Syncing…. Until it finishes, the balance may be incomplete.3.2, 6.2
Sync source, RPC sourceThe node or service the app gets network data from. For Bitcoin and EVM networks, you can change it with the Change Source button in the Sync Error panel.6.2
Top upAdding money to a card: you send stablecoins to a one-time deposit address, and the amount is credited to the card in USD minus fees.2.6
UTXO, inputs and outputsBitcoin: the balance is made up of separate incoming payments. When you send, they become the transaction inputs, and the outputs are the amount for the recipient and the change back to your address; the more small payments, the higher the fee at the same rate.4.4
Virtual cardA card without plastic: the number, expiry date and CVV are shown in the app. Right now you can order only a virtual card in Cryptolink.2.2, 2.4
WalletA crypto wallet on this phone: created, imported with a recovery phrase or private key, or restored from a backup. You can have several wallets and switch between them.3.7
Watch-only walletA wallet added by address or xpub, without keys: it shows the balance and history, but you can't send from it.3.6
